An Obeisance to Marshall Applewhite
An Obeisance to Marshall Applewhite is a hotel room installation included in Showtel 8 at Hotel Biba in West Palm Beach, Florida. Teaming together with Jordi Williams we created a installation that transformed the room into a new realm.
Viewer-participants are invited to become fully emerged in sound, light, video and texture approximating an artificial plant grow-room in space. Plastic plant-clumps and an astroturf floor set an eerie backdrop for a spacey soundscape created live by a spaceman cult leader. Surrounded and disoriented by darkly reflective walls and ceiling, viewers may lounge on shiny pods amid the synthetic landscape to bask with the members of Heaven’s Gate outside of space and time. I discovered your page through my alerts. Seeing you have an intrest in HEAVEN’S GATE. I wish to inform you about my book titled,
HEAVEN’S GATE A MEMORIAL Established 2009. It is a science fiction story of what could have happend if the members of HEAVEN’S GATE left earth and boarded the comet-craft cloaked in the tale of the Hale-Bopp comet, as they travel the galaxies into the level above human. Please give feedback to my website if you decide to read this fascinating memorial book.
